Day 1: When was your first time playing The Legend of Zelda, what game was it, and how was your experience?

I can’t remember how old I exactly was, but knowing that the game came out in 1991 and that we got a SNES early on, I probably was 5 or 6 years old. It was actually my older brothers console and game, but he ended up losing interested quickly. In my case however, this game just fascinated me at such a young age and I started playing it after my older brother abandoned it. I never managed to get further than the 5th dungeon back then I believe. I tried and restarted numerous times, but I eventually gave up on it as well.

It wasn’t until Ocarina of Time came out that I went back to a Link to the past and finally completed it. For me it was a great experience and it showed me that a game could be a lot deeper. Little did I realize back then, that this would become a series that I’d always stick to, a series that would define partially who I am and what I liked.
